Stitching my way to Christmas

I love it when I get a spare few minutes to sew uninterupted and today I had a couple of hours and devoted them to some potholders.
These have been made to match my girlfriend's quilt - I used the last of the fabrics to make them.

These japanese ones and the following french themed ones are extra ones i cut out last year.  They were gifts for my sons' language teachers but this year they will probably go into a lucky dip for my quilt group.  I use scraps from our projects throughout the year, as well as scraps of my own, to sew up potholders and then on our kris kringle day we draw out lottery tickets to take turns pulling goodies out of a lucky dip stocking.

I still have a few more potholders to make including some sun bonnet sue designs, some Christmas ones and some cowboy themed ones.  Hopefully I will get them done tonight.  Tomrrow i move on to some aprons and if i am sufficiently motivated, matching potholders!
